Ford TSB #SSM 48962
2020 Ford Escape
TSB Document:
Affected Component: POWER TRAIN
- Summary
- Some 2020 Escape vehicles equipped with the 1.5L and an 8F24 transmission may exhibit a light to moderate buzz/sizzle/rattle noise heard while seated in the driver's seat. This noise can be heard under moderate to heavy acceleration (2500-4000rpm) and radiates from the lower left side of the dash panel. This may be due to the manual park release cable internal steel cable rattling against the plastic covering. Disconnecting the cable from the transmission will aid in determining if the manual park release cable is the cause. If it has been determined that the cable is the cause of the condition, use updated service parts LX6Z-7D246-N and LX6Z-7D246-L to correct this condition.
