When the 4WD kicks in it causes the car to slip to the side. this is because the rear wheels are also spinning at the same speed as the front wheels so for an instant the is no traction at all. From a stop this is an annoyance. When stuck in snow it prevents you from simply driving out as with full time 4WD. Turning onto a highway it can cause you to spin! What will happen at 70MPH when the front wheels get loose? I wanted the safest car I could get for Minnesota winters but I can't depend on this car to mind it's manners!
