I cannot believe that I lost the transmission or a detective transmission that gave away in less then two and half years. It is costing me now 5400 $. I will never again buy vehicles from Ford products.
This is the only vehicle that I have and I use this only to get to work and get back home.
Can someone suggest how can I reach to Ford Motors so that I file a product claim?
I bought the vehicle (2018 Ford Escape) in June of 2019 the vehicle is a 2018 but was never owned by anyone else but myself. After putting 5000kms on it the transmission sh*t the bed in Oct 2019. Code said Transmission fault service now. So I took it into my local dealership and they got a new tranny sent out by Ford.. or so they say.. So thats fine and dandy. Its now mid jan of 2020 and with a little over 7000kms on it. So I get suck in a bit of snow, anyone who knows Alberta weather knows we get quiet a bit. While trying to rock it out by going forward and backwards all of a sudden the tires wont move, and when you shift into park it makes a terrible grinding noise. Also when you lightly touch the gas it revs up like your flooring it. My guess is that its the tranny again. Will know for sure on Jan 15 as that is the soonest I could get it into be looked at by Ford. I'm livid because this vehicle hasnt even made it to its first oil change and its more then likely going onto its 3rd tranny!
Anyone having the same issue?
Will Ford buy back their lemon or am i stuck with it?
Its fine and dandy while its under warranty, but I don't know a single person who can afford a new transmission every 2-3 months.
All I do is drive to and from work. All paved roads. I'm not hard on it or anything, if anything I baby the eff out of it. Its my first brand new vehicle.
New vehicle. 1st road trip from Texas to Florida. Only 2338 miles and transmission warning. Really? A new vehicle should not start having problems this early.
I have only had this car for 2 months and the transmission was slipping and now all of a sudden it's saying transmission fault service. now going to take it to the dealership this week and see why is it doing this
Update from Nov 21, 2018: Dealer inspected the transmission and found the device clutches we're welded together. This is caused by excessive heat in the transmission. No other indications led to this. And the top speed the vehicle reached was 72mph during it's lifespan. Not sure why it overheated and didn't throw any other errors. Furthermore the transmission was replaced under manufacturers warranty. Thank you Ford.
