Some 2017 Escape vehicles equipped with a 1.5L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI) engine built on or before 9-Jun-2016 may exhibit an illuminated MIL with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0455 and/or P144C stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) memory. This may be due to a disconnected or loose evaporative emission (EVAP) system underhood vapor line. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
