Purchased the vehicle used with 61k miles, just out of warranty. The light came on within 2 weeks of owning the car. Took the car back to the dealer where purchased "Suburban Toyota, phone # 248.699.7100" and was told I would have to pay $155 inspection fee to check the engine. Dealer checked the engine (compression check) and said there was nothing wrong with the engine. Took the vehicle home and the light came back on in two more weeks. Took the vehicle to Varsity Ford and they diagnosed a leaky head gasket (cylinder #2) and needed a long block replacement for $6,900. Based on the fact that this is a repetitive issue with the Ford 1.5L engine, I will be calling Ford to complain about the repair cost.
