Purchased my 2017 1.5L ecoboom 3 years ago. Recently found out about the coolant intrusion engine flaw...unfortunately for me ford won't cover any cost to fix it even though it is their problem. So now I'm stuck paying the remaining $13,000 on the loan and have to either have it repaired which can be upwards up $12,000. I am beyond pissed off. They really need to issue a recall and compensation for those affected. Mother of 3 with no vehicle now and debt to pay off for a dead car..thanks ford, dirty scum bags.

This was paid for under a one time issuance from Ford. Essentially, a low key recall on the short block engine. They neglected to disclose what was really going on and the the extent of the issues. As I am currently back in the shop for more Engine repairs with the same vehicle. They led me to believe the Warranty I purchased covered this work. Now I am in dealing with the same issues and a Warranty company that does not want to pay for re-occurring issues.

Known issue (19b37) and Ford is not fixing it. Claim my 46k car is out of warranty. They have MANY issues with the same engine.

See Ford Technical Service Bulletin # 19-2346. Ford dealership says it has a crack in number 1 cylinder wall. Would require new (long Block) engine. Approx. est. $6700.00.

Carshield would not cover engine, says manufacture responsibility. Ford says out of warranty. I bought the vehicle used in Nov. 2020. Like I'm suppose to know all this stuff that will probably happen before purchasing from used car dealer.
