The brake pad cracked and fell off, so I replaced the pads and rotors. I followed the procedures to put the car in maintenance mode before replacing. The parking brake warning started coming on about a week later. When I started the car, it would flash "service parking brake now" and would keep on the entire time car was on. I found if I started the car, engaged the parking brake, then put in drive, then reverse until I felt the parking brake holding, I gave some gas and it would release the parking brake, and the light went off. The brake would keep some pressure on still, and put excessive wear on everything. I had to replace the calipers and both parking brakes. Terrible design and terrible vehicle, have had many issues and even now it is in the shop and might have to replace the transmission.
