Torque converter bearing and seal leaking a quart of transmission fluid a day. Replaced due to faulty seal and bearing. Its' only a 2016. The seal/bearing/torque converter should not be already breaking down in 3 years.

Car got stuck in reverse when trying to put into park in a parking lot. Found out the bushing on the shifter cable went bad. With further research up to 2014's are already being recalled. I found that you can only buy the full cable kit and not just the bushing. Sounds like a lot of people are having this problem which seems pretty dangerous not to be able to put your cars into different gears.

Transmission failure at only 90K miles for a vehicle that was built in 2016 is absolutely crazy! the vehicle will not shift into gear and when it does it struggles to move under its own weight. The vehicle was at a stop when it jolted really hard. It felt like someone hit me from the back. After that jolt the car was making some grinding noises. We barely made it to a parking lot as the car was struggling to move in a busy street.

Car became stuck in park due to a failure of a rubber bushing that secures the transmission shift cable to the transmission. This occurred to when I was driving out of my drive way, I stopped to close the driveway gate and the car would not shift into drive. Car was stuck in park, tow truck fee, Ford diagnostic fee was over $300 dollars for a $7 dollar rubber bushing. This car is not safe and should be recalled due to the potential roll away if the transmission is still in gear when bushing fails.

My Escape has exactly 88,000 miles in it. I was driving home from work and my transmission started slipping. I was driving 50 mph and then it dropped to 10mph jerking me hard. Then it reved up on its own and started going like 60 mph. I was at a stop light with my foot on the brake and it was going in reverse there was no previous indication that anything was wrong I cannot believe I wasn't in an accident or caused one. The jerking of the car was so hard I was afraid the air bags would deploy. My three year old Ford is receiving a new transmission that is not covered.

Driving at 55mph on a highway, car sputtered a few times then slowed to zero, would not respond to gas pedal. Thankfully I was able to get to the side of the road. Had car towed to garage and just got word that the transmission has to be replaced... in my 3 year old car with 70000 miles. Ford says too bad out of warranty.

I was driving on my way to pick child up from daycare and car would not move even when giving gas. It felt as if it wouldn't shift. I took it to car dealership and they are saying that my transmission is going out. This car was bought brand new and as only 60,000 miles if that and now they are telling me my transmission is out and it will cost me $9,500 to $6,000 I find it funny that they called a recall on Focus from that year on issues with transmission and now mine is out and some how it is my fault. If I would have know there was onging problem I wouldn't have bought the car I don't have that kind of money that why I bought new thought I would be getting dependable care for me drive my child around in. This happen in toledo, Ohio while driving I had to have care towed to car lot where is currently sitting because I can not afford to fix something that Ford knows it has issue with. I don't have problem with paying for something that is my fault but this is not it especially since I keep seeing and hearing that people are having issue with Ford Escapes and other Ford products.

I'm not sure but I feel like there might be an issue with my Ford Escape transmission. I bought the car in not even 2 years ago and now I'm being told that I either need new transmission or to have mine rebuilt and this doesn't seem right'.how is that a car that is barley 3 years old, and bought brand new needs a whole new transmission. I am concern because I have a child and I am currently pregnant and my car is slipping in out of gear while driving. I am on fix income this why I bought what I thought was a reliable new car, I don't have the money to correct Ford's mistake. I hope this mater can be looked into any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not feel like some should have to die before this issue is addressed and corrected.

While driving the car, there was a sudden loss of control over gear selection. Regardless of shift level position, "D" or "S", gears will not shift above 1st gear, forcing speed to decelerate to only about 10 mph. Parking position became inoperative as well, and the car continued to move forward while in "P". no alarms or warning lights appeared. The car was not able to climb an incline, meaning that even 1st gear is not really engaged. The problem sounds like a similar problem to a recall issued for 2013 and 2014 Escape model years, when the bushing that attaches the shifter cable to the transmission detaches. We are still waiting for a diagnosis from the dealer.

I just bought this 2016 Ford Escape in October, 2018. It made it until Mar. 2019. No warning light, nothing. It has 78,000 miles and the transmission blew. They are telling me at the jensen Ford dealership that it will cost $6,508 due to all that is wrong with the transmission. When it gets hot it leaks transmission fluid badly. It took only 2 days and no warning and it blew. Now I can't pay for it, Ford will not pay for it and I believe they should.

A recent incident with my vehicle, a 2016 Ford Escape SE AWD, has left me unhappy and disappointed in Ford Motor Company. Since I started driving in 1984 I have always bought and owned a Ford product. I have had no reason to question the quality of Ford products until now. The Escape had to be towed into the nearest Ford dealership, champion Ford ' edinboro, pa. Upon inspection of my vehicle the service manager indicated an inner seal within the transmission had failed. This resulted in transmission fluid entering all areas of the transmission an essential ruining the unit. The services manager's recommendation was replacement of the transmission. This was done with the purchase of a new transmission and the vehicle was returned to me on February 27, 2019. My first disappointment was the transmission of a 2016 Escape failing in little over three years since purchase (October 2015). The second disappoint was the failure of the transmission just after the warranty expired. My Escape had a 5-year/60,000-mile warranty on the powertrain. At the time of the failure I had driven my Escape 72,000 miles. Therefore, I was left with a $6232.67 repair bill on a vehicle I had hope to last me seven to ten years. At this point I will need to keep this vehicle another two or three years. When I do begin looking for another new car, I now believe I need to start looking at our manufacturer products. I would like to believe Ford Motor Company would honor their products better that I have seen in this experience. If the company does step up and provide some re-compensation for my difficulties, I would be willing to re-think my loyalties to this brand. Used 2016 Ford Escape bought in 2016 with 85000 while driving just stop moving. Gears were moving but no movement in the vehicle. After diagnosis at the dealer it was diagnosed as a transmission fault. With only 85000 miles and about 3 years old, transmission went out, I don't believe that's normal or a semi new vehicle, I believe Ford vehicles are been built with faulty transmissions that don't last long.

When bought car heard humming sound at higher speeds. Looked it up and a lot of same reports online but mixed causes. But now the power train components have to be replaced before it breaks completely. I can feel the vibration with my feet on the floorboard. Now it's really loud and I've only had it 5 months. If I continue to drive without fixing the car itself will fail. Potentially causing an accident. I still have 13000 plus to pay on a defective vehicle. Not including the phenomenal cost to replace. The defective parts. Can provide estimateds for repair. Not even sure it's worth keeping. There will be a cras if I don't fix it or continue to drive.
