The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that she was unable to refuel the vehicle. The contact stated that upon inserting the nozzle, the gas pump stopped pumping continuously. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that fuel tank solenoid was filled with dirt. Additionally, the fuel tank assembly and related parts needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle would experience a sudden surge in engine revs then immediately began operating like the engine was misfiring and the vehicle would eventually stall. The contact stated that his wife noticed that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the evaporator purge cannister valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer and diagnosed with the same failure but was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
