I was driving to pick up some dinner for me and my wife when a humming noise came on from the back passenger side of the vehicle. As I slowed down the car shut off. The humming noise is not the first time I have heard it. Not only that every time I refuel my vehicle it struggles to start which I have to give it gas to turn over.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. While driving approximately 65 mph, the check engine indicator illuminated. While examining the failure, a diagnostic instrument displayed an error code of P1450, which indicated excessive vacuum in the fuel tank. Later, while driving, the vehicle suddenly stalled and was towed from the scene. The cause of the failure was not determined. Suburban Ford (21600 woodward ave, ferndale, mi) and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000. The VIN was invalid.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the check engine indicator illuminated. In addition, the fuel tank had a vacuum effect and the filler neck was replaced. The failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to doggett Ford (9225 North fwy, houston, tx 77037, (800) 801-9906) where it was diagnosed that the canister purge valve failed. The contact discovered that the manufacturer issued an unknown recall on the Ford Fusion, but not the Ford Escapes even though the failures were the same. The manufacturer stated that there was no recall and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was 79,000.
Car was put in park, the engine was then turned off. The key was removed and the vehicle begin to roll while exiting the car. Display shows gear position is in D.the physical position of the shifter is in park.. appears similar to a recall for a shifter bushing for 2013-2014 Ford Escapes.

I am very angry. I owed this car less than two years and even bought the body wrap and powertrain bumper to bumper warranty yet the purge vale went bad. Ford calls it a valve yet the manufacturer of the part calls it a tube, so the warranty will not cover it. I see this very part is the same for the Ford Fusion for the same year, yet its not covered with a recall....why.
2015 Ford Escape stalling in traffic. My car that has less then 60K miles on it stalled in traffic 2X in the past 14 days. I was transporting passengers the first time through downtown denver and the car just stopped running. I had it towed to the dealership where they had it 5 days and fixed the fuel pressure sensor. I picked up the car and it had new issues, as well as the original problem. I was driving it less then 24 hours later merging on the highway with passengers in my car and it just stopped running. The car has been broken down for 12 days now.
My Ford Escape 2015 was stalling only at low speeds diagnostics at the Ford dealer showed nothing. Took time to get back to the dealer for second time--the dealer was not honest with us. I took complaints from other Escape owners that was having stalling problems. It was a nightmare in that car not knowing if it was going to stall at higher speeds. Luck was with us the dealer found the problem (1 bu5Z*9F972 sensor fuel injector) at my cost. I would not recommend a Ford to anyone. On many jeft turns it stopped on city streets.
Emisions canister valve sticks causes rough idle and engine has stalled going down the road. Was able to roll to a stop in a safe location. Had to try several times to get engine started.
The vehicle stalled around 6 pm one evening, when trying to accelerate. Was able to get it back in driveway. 6 hours later tried to drive it again, and it stalled, on acceleration. Was able to get it out of the intersection and could not start the car again. Had it towed to the mechanics and they spent the day trying to recreate the problem and could not.

I have a fuel smell inside of the car intermittent upon starting. This has been happening since the day I bought the car. The dealership is refusing to fix it.
A couple months after buying the car, it started stalling after driving it home from work.took to dealer put on the computer, nothing showed up as being wrong? they told me to put seafoam gas treatment in didn't work. The stalling kept happening after driving a long distance. After many times to the dealer (1time they kept it 2 weeks) they still couldn't find the problem" dealer decided to replace the throttle body and motor asy the only thing that controls the idle. It still continued to stall on and off after a long ride. Then in Feb. 2016 it stalled on I-75 several times this time not even 10 miles from work. We were going slow due to icy roads having to put in neutral just to keep from stalling. Back to dealer, nothing showed up on computer. My wife then called dealer concerned that it could stall while driving 70mph on the highway the dealer decided to replace the throttle body and motor asy again. Stumped on how to fix the problem got the car back Saturday. Went to work on Monday after work stopped to get gas shut off restarted car and it stalled?? there seems to be no specific reason or condition that it keeps stalling. It stalls while in gear or park? this is a serious issue and could cause bodily harm. Do I have a lemon"
Engine fails to accelerate from stop. (random) while in pittsburgh traffic, vehicle runs fine, stop at stop light or stop sign waiting for traffic to pass. Try to take off and vehicle starts moving like it should and then suddenly loses acceleration, engine is unresponsive to throttle, rpms go down to just above idle with gas pedal pressed to floor, idle when released. This is a safety issue, can cause a major accident if not conscience of traffic around you and keeping in mind that the car may act up when pulling into traffic. It is in dealership now, Ford technicians are having a hard time finding culprit of problem.
Purchased March 2015 when starting to pull out in traffic car will accelerate for about 2 sec.and loose power, no warning lights, no loss of electrical, it's just enough to get you in the street and bamm. If I pat the accelerator franticly about 2-3 sec. It would pick up and go, I did not have to restart. Has done 4 times in 3 weeks. I was turning left 1 time, turning right 2 times, and going straight 1 time.car did the same thing all 4 times. Car had 722 miles took to service dept on 10/8/15.they say they can't duplicate so they can not fix.now 10/18/15 no car or answer.waiting on what Ford will do.this problem is going to get someone hurt and needs to be fixed. Can not duplicate is not and answer that sould be aloud to hid behind. There are to many examples of can not duplicate out there, the answer to problem people are getting from service departments.
Symptom: Fuse for interior lights, including gear indicator on shift, controls in steering wheel, fails. Issue began 2nd month of ownership 2/2015. 4th incident on 9/17/15 brought my attention to the circumstances pertaining to all instances leading to failure of the interior lights fuse. Incident: Traveling at 55 mph while merging into traffic from the left side of a 5 lane highway, I removed my foot from accelerator. I stepped on the accelerator within a few seconds and the engine shut off, all electrical components, dash board, gauges, everything shut themselves off and then every gauge and warning light lit up, but no engine. I moved the gear selector into neutral and turned the key to off without locking the steering wheel, and tried to restart the vehicle. It did not restart. I made my across 4 lanes of traffic to the right shoulder, stopped the car, put into park and turned the car all the way off and restarted the vehicle, the interior lights no longer worked. The car restarted and I drove on. I realized that every time the fuse for the interior lights has failed, it was after the car had shut itself off, all electrical lights and warning lights had gone off and then all warning lights and lights, except interior lights came back on, requiring turning the key to off engaging the steering wheel lock and restarting the car. It is currently in the shop for evaluation. The 3 previous times, the Ford dealers' (2 different dealers) service department technicians have not found a cause for the fuse failure.
Purchased vehicle 1/30/2015 and drove off lot with 3 miles on it. Less than a week later vehicle started stalling at traffic lights and hesitating upon acceleration. Vehicle was in Ford repair shop for 12 days with 1200 worth of parts replaced on transmission. Picked up vehicle with 810 miles on it and less than a week and 150 miles later the vehicle is again stalling at traffic lights upon acceleration. The vehicle is dangerous to drive!
