When accelerating out of the blue the connection between the pedal and gas seems to get lost and several times when I need to accelerate I get nothing even if I try it again. There are several instances when trying to merge or get out of the way of oncoming danger ( I have almost been killed a few times) that I got no gas acceleration when I pressed on the pedal. A long lull of nothing. Then when it decides to engage it jumps forward way to fast.
This is extremely unsafe and I have taken my car 3 times to Ford to find out the problem and they have told me they are not aware of any problems system wide and they checked everything and even replaced a gas pedal sensor but I still have the problem. I live in a state where we get ice in the winter and I can drive on it as good as anyone but with this problem will make me have a wreck and I don't want to wait for the problem to be acknowledged after I have died. I am currently looking for another car. These need to be taken off the market.
