Took car to Jordan Ford in South Bend IN. They diagnosed problem using computer, raised price of diagnosis twice, had it for 2 days. They said that repair would be at least $1k, could run into more problems and cost more. Also inquired about purchasing extended warranty. They said it would be about $3,000.
I was going to southern Indiana anyway the next week and took car to trusted dealership. They repaired it for $733. Warranty was much better than Jordan Ford and learned that Jordan Ford warranty was not a Ford warranty. Bought better Ford warranty in southern IN for $1500.
