The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the heating system and the defroster failed. The automatic remote also failed to activate the system heat. The contact had to let the engine run for a few minutes to be able to heat the vehicle. The dealer performed a diagnostic which was unable to locate a failure code therefore the dealer advised the contact that there was not a fix for the heating failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,500 and the current mileage was 2,400.
