CarComplaints.com Notes: The top problem trend for the 2014 Escape is transmission failure at around 70k miles.
This is relatively low mileage for an expensive transmission failure ($4,500 average to fix), but unless the trend becomes more established, we are only awarding the 2014 Escape our "Beware of the Clunker" badge for now.

I am the proud owner of a new Escape 4X2, but having issues with noise when making calls over Sync. If I am traveling over 25 mph (60Km/h) the person on the other end is not able to hear our conversation over the excessive wind noise (wind Tunnel). I am using an iPhone 4 with the most updated iOS, but I have the same problem with other phones (BlackBerry Q5).
The microphone is in the ceiling rather than in the mirror. I have already tried the master reset and I have repaired the phone a few times with the same experience. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, have you been successful in getting it fixed? Seems kind of silly Ford would allow this to pass quality checks if you can't use it while driving. One peculiarity is that when the car stops the noise disappears, the car stays on.
