CarComplaints.com Notes: The top problem trend for the 2014 Escape is transmission failure at around 70k miles.
This is relatively low mileage for an expensive transmission failure ($4,500 average to fix), but unless the trend becomes more established, we are only awarding the 2014 Escape our "Beware of the Clunker" badge for now.

I just bought this 2014 Ford Escape and I loved it until I noticed the dashboard around the radio looked to be coming way from the radio bezel. I didn't care about it then, but now it is larger and it has now started to gap around the hole radio.
I took it to the Ford dealer to see what to do about it and that is when me and him noted that there was more areas on the dashboard coming lose or buckling around the edge. I called the Ford Motor Company and they gave me a case number and told me to take it to dealership to get fixed. Called the dealer with case number to set up a repair date to find out that everything had to be paid out of pocket. $3300.00 is what I was quoted for the repair. That is replacing the whole dashboard.
I have also tried to call the Ford headquarters but I guess those people don't work. I have left messages for the last three days to see what they are going to do about this problem. I have also tried gluing the pieces back together but the glue is not able to hold it.
