Just spent $700 replacing front and rear brakes assuming this would correct the issue. However, the hissing sound and brake issues still exist...more research tells me I have a bad brake booster. Ford has issued customer satisfaction fix for issue

13N02 – Extended Warranty Coverage On Brake Booster – 2010-2013 Ford Edge & Lincoln MKX

Calling dealer tomorrow to get it replaced ASAP! Very unsafe - can not believe there was no mandatory recall for this!!! C'mon Ford... this is huge safety issue!!

Update from Jun 23, 2017: Car is a Ford EDGE

Brake booster repaired at no cost. But, can't understand why this was not a recall and Ford was allowed to just have customer courtesy fix IF customers brought car in for issue. This is dangerous... shame on NTSB for not forcing recall

First dealer changed front brakes at 25,000 noise still same ,wanted me to return to cut drums which i did. noise reappeared 3 days later. second dealer says wrong brakes shoes were improper and replaced them. drove home and noise came back. I think the rear hubs are defective and should be replaced.
