I cannot open the trunk of my 2011 Ford Escape. I have seen many, many other people report the same thing. I think this is ridiculous that Ford knows this is an ongoing issue and will not fix it. There are even YOUTUBE videos with people showing the problem and Ford will not recall the faulty part and fix the problem. This is the first Ford I've ever owned and will more than likely be the last. I've always owned Dodge and they have never failed me...I traded in a 2000 Dodge and a 1998 Dodge on this Ford just to have something newer, what a mistake.
