The contact stated that no one had previously opened the hood prior to the failure. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The air bag did not deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to serpentini Chevrolet Buick of orrville (1107 N main St, orrville, oh 44667) where it was awaiting diagnoses. The contact stated that the dealer informed he of no open recall for the failure however, she researched the failure on-line and found multiple complaints for the same hood latch failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
