The contact owns a 2010 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the windshield glass would break with the slightest impact. The vehicle was taken to a glass mechanic who advised the contact that the windshield glass was repaired. The failure mileage was 10,000 and the current mileage was 21,643. Updated 5/11/12 consumer stated this vehicle windshield cracked easier than other vehicles owned. Glass mechanic stated windshield should be angled not straight. Dealer apologized and that all cost were her responsibility. Updated 6/7/12
Ford Escape (2010) appears to have frequent windshield glass breakage compared to other vehicles. A very tiny ship can cause large windshield cracks. Please investigate and take appropriate actions. Off course the manufacturer is hiding behind, "the Ford Escape windshield meets all regulatory conditions".
