Ford dealer and Ford Customer Care are REFUSING to replace transmission in 2010 Ford Escape Limited with 37,953 miles, under warranty. Ford Warranty powertrain including transmission: 5 yr/50,000 miles!
Transmission melted! Obviously defective part. Before purchasing did intense research. Was told by Ford that this vehicle could be towed flat behind an RV. Followed all dingy towing instructions in Owners Manual; did not even drive over 55 mph; did not drive over 250 miles in one day; started and ran in D and in R for 15 minutes at start and end of dingy driving day; towed in N with key at correct location, accessory. HELP Needed. Transmission needs replacing to be able to drive it to a car lot to Sell! Can not trust Ford dealer; can not trust Ford Corp. Purchased used; have only driven it 13,375 miles!!! Want Ford Corp. to reimburse my purchase price for the 2010 Ford Escape Limited, the tax, registration, title expenses that I incurred; as will as the installed components on front of vehicle to enable flat towing and rear view camera; rental car while waiting for dealer to replace transmission; tow truck towing to dealer; and fuel to drive to/from out of town dealer and medical expenses due to the extreme stress of this experience. Want TRUTH in all things. Want Truth from Ford Corp. If states under warranty, then replace all related items. If can not be towed flat behind an RV then Ford should tell public the Truth, the Facts!
