Most of the time, I will be driving when all of a sudden all the warning lights and most other lights in the instrument cluster will come on and at the same time, my AC stops working. It is intermittent. Goes on and off, then on again and then off again. When the lights are out, everything works just fine. When the warning lights are on, speedometer and tach do not work, thank God the fuel gauge still works.

I took it into a Ford dealer here and they told me the problem does not occur while they have it. They reset it and it never occurred. I got it back and less than 2 weeks later, it was doing it all again. And now, it does it almost every time I get in the vehicle.

If Ford can't fix it or figure out whats wrong, who can?? My regular mechanic won't even try to look at it because it is a "Ford fix" only. Wow, really. So now what??

anti-theft system -engine won't turn over & warning lights

My problem is constant. I was driving on the highway very early in morning, it was still dark outside. All of a sudden all the warning lights came on my dashboard. I quickly got off the next exit and found a gas station to park. I turned off the car and tried to turn it back on and nothing. It would not do anything. The anti-theft signal was blinking ( at the time I did not know I had an anti theft system, so I didn't know what it was when this happened). After about 10 minutes, the car turned back on. I decided to try to get to work. I took my car to ford service that day. They told me it was something with the ignition, which cost me over $320, Took my car the next day, it happened again, when I was driving on the highway to work in the night in the morning. This time I drove the car directly to Ford service. Now they fixed some electric board (sorry can't remember), said it was corroded. This time they charged me over $720. Took my car home. The next day I warmed my car up for 10 minutes, got in the car and all the warning lights came on again!!! I could not start my car and had to have it towed back to Ford Service. That was on a Wednesday. On Thursday they called me and said they could not duplicate the issue and there is nothing more they can do. That's after spending over 1,050. I was too afraid to drive it so I left at the dealership until Monday, today. I have a car rental (more $) and have to take it back today, because I can't afford it. Now what do I do? This anti-theft system is dangerous for the owner and I don't even need or want it. This is a Ford manufacturing flaw, and I want all of my money back.

all warning lights come on all warning lights come on

I paid over $1,000 to fix this problem of all the warning lights coming on for no reason. Ford also installs an anti theft system in their cars and when that light is on I cannot start my car. I originally took my car to Ford Service Hagerstown because of a brake problem. The replaced the Hydraulic control unit. Shortly after I got my car back, suddenly all my warning lights came on for no reason when I'm driving. When I stop my car the anti-theft warning light prevents me from starting my car. When this first started I took my car to Ford Service Hagerstown, MD. They said it was a circuit board that was corroded. They charged me over $700, but this was supposed to fix the problem. As soon as I got my car back it happened again the same day and the next day. I took my car back again to Ford Service Hagerstown. This time they said the ignition needed to be replaced. They charged me over $320 to fix it. The same day I got my car back a second time, it happened again. They did not fix it at all. I complained to Ford Motor company and told them I paid over $1,000 to Ford Service and they did not fix my car. Ford Motor company basically told me there is nothing they can do. I called Hagerstown Ford to talk to the manager. He told me to bring my car in again. So I brought my car in a third time. After about 4 days they told me that this time its the cluster and it will cost me over $320 to fix. So I already paid over $1,000 to fix the problem which they did not and now I am told it will me more money. I decided not to spend more money on this with Ford Service. How can this be legal? And how do I know that they did not cause this problem when they changed the Hydraulic Control Unit? Because this problem happened immediately after the HCU repair. I have always taken my car to Ford Service and took good care of my car. It is only 7 years old. The manager at Ford Service had the nerve to tell me if I wanted to buy another car, he can get me in touch with their sales people. I was angry that they took over $1,000 from me and did not fix my car and suggest that I buy another Ford as if I have money just lying around.
