The contact owns a 2009 Ford Escape. While the unoccupied vehicle was parked, the moonroof collapsed and fractured into multiple pieces as a result of an extremely small amount of snow on the top surface. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the moon-roof was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.
