- Fixed Excape 2009 Engine Light Problem - This guy is so straight, he will tell you HOWo the other mechanic managed to sabotage your car or pickup truck. He charges typical prices but fixed Escape 2009 Engine light problem and door problems on my 2003 Ford Van Regency which I still have a crush on. Do not trade in anything because they will "take" teh used car you trade in. Old advice but I had to learn the hard way...no fool like an old fool!!!BTW it was the sensor

My check engine light came on one week after I bought it (used). When I came to a stop, it would idle really low and sometimes when I'd try to accelerate, it wouldn't move for seconds and when it finally did, it would jerk really bad. This happened intermittently. I took it to the mechanic and the codes pulled were for the cam sensor. Flash forward a few years and now they're telling me that I either needs to spend $4800 to replace the cam heads/sensor or spend $6800 for a whole new engine.
