THE HINGES ON MY REAR WINDOW SHOULD NOT HAVE RUSTED LIKE THEY DID. I SAW OTHER FORD ESCAPES (2008) AND THE HINGES DID NOT HAVE ANY RUST ON THEM. THERE ARE NO OTHER RUST AREAS ON MY CAR. I THINK THAT THERE WAS A DEFECT IN MY HINGES. WHEN THE HINGES GAVE AWAY, I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND THE LEFT SIDE OF MY REAR WINDOW FELL DOWN. I HAD TO IMMEDIATELY STOP MY CAR AND STRUGGLED TO GET THE WINDOW BACK IN PLACE. I THEN TOOK MY CAR TO LIBERTY FORD IN MAPLE HEIGHTS, OHIO AND THEY HAD TROUBLE FINDING REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE HINGES. I WAS WITHOUT MY CAR FOR OVER 2 DAYS. IT WAS A BIG INCONVENIENCE BECAUSE I WAS STRANDED AT MY HOME (I DID NOT HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO USE).
