Tire size: P235/70 R16 Since April, 2024 this tire started inflated every week. After 2-3 weeks trial I decided to take it to the tire shop, after they tested it, no error was detected. Then they told me that technically this tire is defected. It costed me $75-90.00 bucks just for the diagnostics. At that point, I did not have a choice but to buy a new tire. The new tire cost me another $140+, before down time and a waste of energy. Time is everything in this country. Thank you,

Tire Size: P235/70R16 104T In the first week of April, 2024, the rear passenger side tire was showing low air. I took it to a tire shop close by. They checked it and could not find any defection, except air. They inflated and balanced it. I started driving it hoping everything would be OK. After 3 days the same thing happened. Again, I took it to a different tire shop, and they took their time and thoroughly checked, no nails or air leak at all. At that point and after I told them the history of the tire, they suggested that it is a manufacturer's defect or it is a defected tire. More over, the tire guy advised me to contact the NHTSA or the manufacturer. On top the purchasing price, I spent $60 for inspection, the purchasing price was $112.50, from Walmart. In conclusion, I purchased a new tire and replaced it, and costed me to mount it. I did not have a choice, and I kept the bad tire. I had to go through all these, because of the defected tire, or the manufacturer's fault. I cant't live without or I do everything with my car, and I have only 1 car. Car is a big part of my/our daily life in America. You guys can take it from here. That is all. Thank you

VIN [xxx] 2008 Ford Escape right rear valve stem came out without air pressure monitor warning mileage 53,247 has never needed air and we 34 psi in front and rear out of warranty on miles dealer said wont repair without charging information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

On 1/1/09, 5/24/09, 5/29/09, 7/27/09, 8/15/090, inside panel lit up with "low tire pressure" message and tire was dangerously low within 15 minutes. These various events occurred on major highways with children in the vehicle and in heavy traffic, no safe place to pull over. Cracked tire stem valve each time.this presents a serious hazard to drivers who are alone, on dark highways, etc.

Front drivers side tire lost pressure, from 44lbs to 23lbs, I do not know the time duration. Warning light on dashboard alerted me. Corrected tire pressure and it is 6 pounds low again 7 days later. Ford dealer said they will not replace all stems only the one that is leaking.

About 2 months after I purchased my Escape, the tire pressure monitor light came on and the message center said "tire pressure monitor fault". at the same time the door ajar light and brake lights came on. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't find a thing wrong with it. It happened again, this time the volume on the stereo automatically goes down when I get the tire pressure message along with the air conditioner blowing hot air. It just got worse. I took it to the dealer this time and they kept my car for 3 weeks. They consulted Ford engineers and were in constant contact with Ford (who had no idea what was wrong with it). They finally decided to replace the whole computer. It didn't fail it happened again. But this time the car would just constantly beep, the most annoying thing in the world, and the doors don't automatically lock. As it got worse the dash has a mind of its own, somedays it doesn't light up other days it stays on all night. Thankfully it hasn't drained my battery. It has been to the dealer 4 times already and I have contacted an attorney to help me with a lemon law case. The dealer has no clue what is going on. The advisor said that I was the only Escape in the nation with this problem, but looking on the website mine is not the only one, there is at least one other one. My car is still doing this even more frequently. I have another two weeks before we hear from Ford about a repurchase. It's unfortunate, because I really love my Escape if it wasn't for this one major problem.

Why driving the tire pressure indicator light will come on in the dash and the computer will state "tire pressure sensor fault." I have had it into the dealer four times and they have replaced the sensors and still having the same issue. The dealership has told me it has to do with a cell phone charger plugged into the cigarette lighter and setting off the tire pressure indicator on the dash, as well as sending a false signal to the computer. They state there is a Ford bulletin out on it but I can find anything on it. Updated 01-15-08. Updated
