The car only has 112,000 kms and is leaking oil. Plus, the engine is consuming oil. I have to top up with about a litre of oil every 2000 km. I bought the car with a 110,000 km thinking I will drive this car for at least 5-10 years. But that is probably too optimistic at this point. Never buying a Ford ever again.

This isn't that bad. Remove a few things, use a putty knife to get it started, pull the old gasket out and put the new one in. You do have to put two drops of gasket sealant on two areas to insure they don't leak. This is because the timing belt has it's own cover and where that meets the block you have a seam. It's added protection. But I did this because I was losing a quart of oil every 250 miles? They did a change when I bought it. I went ahead and changed the oil even though they said they did. It had maybe two quarts in it. I pulled a plug wire to check the plug and it was 2 inches on oil in the plug hole. 3 of the 4 plugs had out in them? Never seen this. Changed out the gasket pulled the injector wires pulled the spark plugs after trying to get most of the oil out. Let it set over night to let it drain through the cylinders. Cranked it over a few times. Then put the plugs back in and hooked up the injector wires. She fired right up. No more oil lose ;) Thank God. Search Youtube for a video. That is what I used to see how to remove it and follow his instructions. Good Luck.

First indication of an oil leak at approx. 21,000 miles. Head gasket temporarily fixed the problem. It reoccurred about 2-3000 miles after initial repair. They then replaced the head, which did not work and continued to leak all over my driveway. Then a decision from Ford to install a remanufactured engine. That took 2 different motors because they sent the dealer unmatched engine parts. The dealer in all had my vehicle for about 2 months. Stay away.. 3 engines ridiculous!
