CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2007 Ford Escape looks pretty good compared to other Ford Escape model years, but still has a trend of transmission problems, so it's not a model year we can recommend.
Also the base model Escape did not come with side airbags so it received a "Poor" rating from the IIHS for side impact protection. Other similar 2007 models like the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V & Hyundai Santa Fe scored far better.

My daughter and I purchased our 2007 Ford Escapes 1 month apart, her's being a V6.1 month ago my daughter spent $1000.00 on replacing motor mounts, she only had 50,000 miles on her vehicle, now I am having the same problem. I am sure there have been other Escape owners with the same problem and I do not understand why this was not a recall? I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. $1000.00 is impossible for me, so now I am left with a vehicle that I cannot drive.
