CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2007 Ford Escape looks pretty good compared to other Ford Escape model years, but still has a trend of transmission problems, so it's not a model year we can recommend.
Also the base model Escape did not come with side airbags so it received a "Poor" rating from the IIHS for side impact protection. Other similar 2007 models like the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V & Hyundai Santa Fe scored far better.

I'm at my wits end with my 2007 Escape. I love it but I also am being tortured by it. My alarm goes off whenever it wants, locked or not. At night I have to wait for the interior lights to go off before driving. Usually in the time frame of 10-20minutes. The alarm goes off while driving as well as the interior lights. None of these things are safe. It's quite embarrassing. My neighbors hate me. Its sad that Ford doesn't consider this a recall. My safety as well as anyone riding with me is at risk. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
