The contact owns a 2006 Ford Escape. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle vibrates and makes a thumping noise. The dealer stated that the failure was caused by the inside wall of the tire tread dropping. The manufacturer will only cover 75% of the repair cost. The tires are Continental Contitrac BSW and the correct tire size is P2357016. The current mileage is 18,387 and failure mileage was 18,189. Updated 02-01-08. The consumer stated tire trend hitting the ground and 1/3" not touching ground on the inside of tire. Updated 02/01/08
