The contact owns a 2006 Ford Escape. The contact stated that as he closed the right passenger side door, the rear right and left passenger side air bags deployed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who performed a diagnostic test and stated that they were unable to determine what caused the air bags to deploy. The manufacturer stated that the repair had to be approved by the general counsel of Ford. He had not received a follow up call when the complaint was filed. There are no recalls or warranties related to the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
