CarComplaints.com Notes: With solid trends of engine failure — $4,500 to fix at 85,000 miles avg — AND transmission failure — $3,000 to fix at 75,000 miles avg — we can't recommend the 2006 Ford Escape to anyone except your worst enemy.
I am a Ford man and have been all my life. I recently purchased a 2006 Ford Escape, upon attempting to fuel the car, fuel spews back up the filler tube shutting down the gas flow thus resulting in an hour fill up time...help
OOOOOOOOOOOIt's Pain to fill up it take for ever to fill up not even 5 minute it stopped it getting COLD now here. I don't feel like pumping no more but need gas get to work.
do some of u all that have 2006 Escape starting to have this problem? What can we do about it.
When I went to put in fuel, the pump kept shutting off like the tank was full. It was 15 degrees F. outside, and it took me 10 minutes to get 1/2 tank. I had to watch constantly because at one point, fuel started spewing out of the tank, but the tank was not full. My mechanic worked on it, and I hope it will be o.k. I really don't feel good about having my car regurgitate gasoline.
