After reading about all the complaints I decided to add mine. I as well am currently having my 2006 Ford escape looked at. By what the mechanic told me it appears to be the same problem that everyone else is having. I was driving my wifes car earlier in the day and it was fine. There where no warning lights on. We went to my doctors appointment and after I took my car back and she drove off in the escape to go back to work. She made it about one block before the car decided to buck and stall. She got it started again and pulled into a parking lot and called me. When I got there I started it up and the engine was making all sorts of noise. I turned the car off as fast as possible and popped the hood. After checking every thing out I noticed it as very low on oil. We took my car to go buy some. When we got back I added some oil to bring it back up to where it should be. Started the car and same thing. So I called are mechanic and he came and got the car. He said it sounds like a rod broke. First Question to ford no warning light came on why? If it is a problem why is this not a recall? Where did the oil go because it is not on my garage floor, or in her space at work? As soon as my mechanic calls I will update this. But I am pretty sure it is the same as everybody else. So we all need to file complaints or sue them. I will gladly be in charge of this and you can email me @ michaosulliv@aol.com thanks and hopefully this gets to all that have posted about this.
