Premature Wear Of Rotors
2004 Ford Escape
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ford dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2004 Ford Escape looks pretty good compared to other Ford Escape model years, but still has a trend of transmission problems, and engine problems from the NHTSA complaint data — so it's not a model year we can recommend.

Love the car itself, but the brakes are awful. Always getting them looked at, at least every six months, just to make sure they are safe enough for me to even drive around. Found out that these early model Escapes actually have really small rotors for the car size which is really bad, but since the 2012 editions Ford finally decided to fix that problem! The starter also sucks and makes me start it 2-3 times most often, even though my Escape stays in the garage and has great care and gets the oil changed often.
