The contact owns a 2004 Ford Escape. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the subframe needed to be replaced. The manufacturer did not want to replace the subframe for free. The contact stated that the vehicle could not be driven long distances. There were no recalls for the vehicle. The failure mileage was 100,000.
