We have this 2003 Ford Escape, and on some days it will not idle very well and on other days it will over accelerate to 4000 Rpms. After this happens the airbag sensor light on the panel will stay lit up. When we drive it for a few hours over long stretches of highway, after it is hot, then it will not stay running and cuts off while driving and you have to power brake it for a few miles or at red lights then it will return to normal. It can be in the winter or summer.
How do I fix this issue?
