Car stalls when hot. It happens when parked on start up, or driving. Take foot off accelerator and touch the brake and car dies. 3 1/2 years ago, a mechanic in Montana cleaned the idle air control valve and throttle body intake and the car worked better for awhile. Service engine light comes on sometimes, however, mechanics have been unable to diagnose or find the code?
The car runs rough, hesitates, shutters, dies. I have to keep one foot on the accelerator, other on brake, shift to neutral and gun the engine, pop into drive. Terribly dangerous. Happens most often when engine is hot, at sea level. Didn't happen once in 4 months in a Montana winter. Changed spark plugs and coils, fuel filter. Charged the battery. Could it be the fuel injector?
