2021 Ford Edge
TSB Document:
Affected Component: BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA
- Summary
- Some 2021-2022 Edge vehicles may exhibit various image issues such as infrared, distorted, glitching, flickering or fuzzy image in the rear view camera with DTC C1001 stored in the Image Processing Module B or Sync module and/or B115E stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to a poor circuit connection. Inspect both male and female sides of connectors C4357 and C2383A for loose, bent, or damaged terminals. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 100-00 General Information > Wire Terminal Inspection and Removal. If there is damage detected, refer to cell 005 of the wiring diagram to perform the repair procedure. In addition to the wiring inspection, make sure the IPMB and the APIM are in the latest software level. If there is no damage, continue with the normal diagnosis.
