I noticed a knocking in the left front end. It was difficult to steer, very loud rumbling noise like gears clashing. Luckily I was only going 25 mph when it happened and a mile away from home. When I almost stopped couldn't steer at all. Purchased October 27, 2020, it is currently January 13, 2021 and has 601 miles on it. It has been in the shop for 3 days. Ford dealership verified that is was a factory weld failure. The piece that broke off made a notch in the tire which will be shown in the photos. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle with a major weld failure happening at only 601 miles and now I worry about the other welds on the frame.
Perilli scorpion tire with only 7,000 miles on it exploded while driving on a highway going 80 miles an hour. Nothing was in the road, did not hit or run over anything. No other damage to car including rim.
