I was driving in stop and go traffic. When we did move it was only 1 car length. This went on for at least 5 minutes. I stopped, the engine shut off, when it turned back on, my foot was still on the brake, it lunged forward and hit the car in front of me. At first I thought that I was hit from behind, pushing me forward, because I still had my foot on the break. I am being charged with this accident being my fault.
I have read 2 other complaints of the cars lurching forward, however neither one of them resulted in an accident. Auto start/stop was on at the time.
