I have a 2019 Ford Edge, with only 52K miles on it. The transmission went out in September. I took it to my local dealer, and they stated that my transmission has gone out, along with my turbo and my radiator. they had it for 2 months, and once I got it back, I had it for less the 24 hour, and the transmission went out again, THIS TIME, STRANDING ME IN A MIDDLE OF A INTERSECTION. I called the dealer back, and informed them that the car has completely died and they need to come back and tow it back to them. The towing company, proceeded to pick the car up on a Saturday, and when they hooked up my car to the tow truck, they attached it to my Steering Rack, causing damage to my rack, bumper, and license plate. I told them they needed to fix this issue. They then had it for another 2 months.
I recently got it back, and the transmission was clunking and making weird noises when shifting from park to drive or reverse. I took it back to them and the mechanic proceeded to tell me this was normal. I disagreed and informed the General Manager of this situation, and informed them to make it right. I am now filing a lawsuit against Ford. Ya the dealership gave me a loaner, however, that's not the point. I pay 600.00 a month for my car payment, and cant even drive it. I am so damn frustrated and very disappointed with Ford. They use to make great cars and trucks, I always have owned Ford products, but I am loosing my faith in them.
Transmission died - just made a clunk noise and stopped, 2nd time a Ford Transmission died. I don't abuse my cars, follow the maintenance program and as soon as the maintenance plan runs out - the tranny died. $4800 later on the first, 2nd one I didn't bother.
