On about March 25, 2023 I stopped at Auto Store to have battery checked to see if it needed to be replaced (sorry I failed to say it all started with the Edge telling me it was in battery saver mode and to either turn igition off or start the engine) and they said it had a bad cell but they wouldn't install it for me because battery required "professional installation" but didn't tell me why. I read my manual and nothing was said about "professional installation" so on 04/04/2023 I returned to the store to see if I could buy a replacement battery for my 2019 Ford Edge SEL AWD 2.0 and when I walked in I was greeted by several in the store and one young man asked what could he do for me? I said well I would love to have my battery replaced but the guys last week said they couldn't do it for me.
At this point I just asked if they had the right battery for my car and the young man said he would be glad to replace my battery for me and that he had never seen a battery he wouldn't replace. Well, if your willing how much is the battery and I purchased it and he replaced my battery and nothing would work on the car so he pulled the battery and replaced with a second new battery but nothing would work. I have towed it to a local Ford dealer where I purchased the Edge and Quick Lane could not figure it out so it is being transferred to the main service shop. When I say nothing works I really mean nothing locks, lights, panel, push start, nothing except the radio will play (LOL). I had read the manual battery replacement directions and the battery was replaced per those directions. The Edge has 23, 447 miles but of course the 36 months have expired. Anyone ever had this experience?
