Engine light came on. Dealership says that I need a whole new transmission. Car is not slipping and seems to be driving fine. The car has less that 94,000 miles.

My 2018 Ford Edge is equiped with Ecoboost engine and as a result all these problems are occurring: Ford failed to disclose that these vehicles have a defect that causes coolant to leak into the engine-??s cylinders, which can cause corrosion, oil dilution and contamination, and engine failure; and failed to disclose these defects create a safety risk, because the lack of coolant created by the leaks causes overheating and can result in the cylinder head cracking, total engine failure, and/or engine fires. Ford dealers have stated that I need a new engine.

Last July my check engine light came on giving us a P0302 code. We had the spark plugs changed. It went away for a week then came back on with the same code. We had the coil packs changed. Same thing. Went away for a week then returned. Now dealership is saying they want $9,000+ to replace time engine for an issue that has been known to Ford since 2010 with this engine.with less than 70,000 miles on it, white smoke is pouring out of my car, the engine is overheating and coolant is leaking. I-??m told that this can cause a fire or worse, a wreck. I have children that I transport daily in this vehicle seeing how it-??s our only means of transportation and we dont have the money to replace the engine much less buy a replacement vehicle. Ford needs to be held accountable for selling these faulty cars, putting families in danger and fix these issues NOW!!! Why wait for someone to die before they actually take a stand and fix their issue when they know thousands of customers are having the exact same issues. Such a disappointment!

My check engine light was on and my car would shake and vibrate upon staring the engine. I was running low on coolant when I shouldn-??t be despite no signs of leaking on the ground. I took it to an authorized shop by Carfax, it-??s Autotech in O Fallon, MO. They ran diagnostic tests and the codes were P0302 and P0316, which apparently are common issues with Ford Edges between 2015-2018. The shop owner said it-??s normal for these cars even with low miles to end up needing a new engine bc of how Ford built them to where there are cylinder misfires causing coolant to leak into the engine causing engine failure. I asked why there were no recalls on this known issues and he assumed it must be bc no one died yet. I have since been reading thread after thread online of customers having this same issue and needing a new engine some even after only 25,000 and 50,000 miles. I bought my car used less than a year and a half ago with 59,000 miles on it and was not offered a warranty, which I know no why, they probably knew of the issue and the dealership didn-??t want to be on the hook to cover a new engine. So now I-??m stuck with an unsafe car to drive or shell out $9000 on a new engine that will fail like others who had theirs replaced only to have the same thing happen. I love my car and don-??t want to give it up. How can Ford take ownership of their poor design flaw that is causing this to happen and put us at risk of being stranded or worse when our engine blows" Ford tough-??how so? These cars are worthless after only 25,000 for some. For me I only got 15000 miles out of my car that I still owe $17,000 on and now I-??m told I have to pay almost $10,000 to replace the engine for their design flaw that they have known for years is a major issue? There are lawsuits for this issue. There is class action in California for this issue. How can they get away with this" I-??m stranded right now and I can-??t afford to fix it and nor should I have to. Ford should be held accountable, not me.

While driving at normal speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone where a diagnostic test was performed and produced code:P0456 indicating (EVAP System fault). Additionally, the vehicle was previously repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and I contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

The car has difficulty staying started after filling up with fuel. It does settle out but it is getting worse.. Today, it shut off while moving after just being filled up. Apparently, the fuel purge valve is going bad. This should be a recall of some sort since it seems to be a common problem with this vehicle. An expensive problem.

My 2018 Ford Edge keeps filling up with exhaust in the cabin. It has done this on many ocasion's it will do this wether I am stationary or driving. It's getting worse.. I do a lot of highway driving long distances and I sleep in my car alot. The exhaust smell happens nomatter if I am on the hifhway or residential street. It happens almost every few days now. I did have it checked out at randon Ford in Florida. They advised me that they couldn, T find a leak. The very next day I drove from Florida to Minnesota, the exhaust was in the car several times on the trip

The 2018 Ford Edge has a problem with the fuel tank that is yet to be addressed. Whenever I pump gas into the tank, the car will not start until at least 15 attempts. This problem seems to be because the tank which has no cap does not create enough suction pressure for the engine to pull the gas. Whenever gas is newly pumped, the engine seems to pull air, and will not start. The tank seems to be unable to bleed out air or maybe will not create the right pressure until the tank creates enough pressure for the gas to flow well into the engine. This is a serious problem that Ford company seerm not to be aware of or maybe they are aware and just not addressing it or just a factory fault. Whatever it is, this issue needs to be addressed by a recall please

Car was in motion on a paved state of Nebraska highway. I heard a load pop, did not see anything in road or feel that the car hit any kind of road hazard. Was two miles from home, no warning light came on. When parked I did smell gas but could not determine where it was coming from because there was a light rain. In the morning all fuel had drained out on the ground and down the street. Had it towed to shop, they found a hole in the gas tank and determined it was a road hazard collision. Ford seems unable to provide a replacement tank and it appears it will likely be months before they can get one in. Just concerned that this tank maybe prone to holes caused by perhaps just a rock being thrown up under the tank. This could have been a very bad situation as I am a smoker and often sit in my car and have one before going in the house. I am also concerned that Ford can't provide a replacement tank, and several places I have check say the tank for this car has been discontinued. Possible problem with the existing tank that they are not disclosing. Why should it take 3 months to get a replacement gas tank?

Let me start by saying your sales team was great, made the car buying part of this easy....maybe too easy in that I made a quick decision to buy without researching what complaints there were about this vehicle. I am a home health nurse and traded my Honda Accord in to your dealership as I needed something with more room to store my work supplies while still maintaining decent gas mileage. I have never been more disappointed in a new car. I was so pleased with the service during the purchase. But this car is not what it is claimed to be. They claim 20-29 mpg, which is why I purchased this to stay within a reasonable gas mileage. I am not even getting 16 mpg!!!! the car blows warm air all the time, unless the ac is on. The air also blows a faint motor/gas smell. My rear window squeaks when you roll it down. I can not afford to be filling up twice a week, especially after the amount of money I pay a month for the lease payment. Then today, my steering wheel locked and wont move up/down front/back!!! sadly, I feel I should have listened to my husband and stayed away from a Ford. I hope you can steer my a direction in which this can be addressed. I already have an appointment with a Ford dealership (who happens to be a good friend of ours), but I'm not feeling too confident at this point.
