While being towed IAW Fords directions for flat towing the 2017 Edge, the vehicle began to wobble uncontrollably. I had to almost come to a complete stop with my RV. This problem has occurred multiple times. If I “trick†the vehicle into keeping the power steering pump on, I can not replicate the scenario. Without the power steering pump on, I can get the wobble at the same location every time. I have read were Jeep had the same issue with their Cherokee. It has to due with the electronic power steering being disabled while the vehicle is being towed. They came up with a cable adapter that only keeps the power steering pump on.
It took Jeep years to admit it and I hope Ford does not take as long.
