Frst noticed in November the car would not generate heat while at idle. This prevented defrosting of windshield. Noticed heat would return at higher revs, but this also decreased. Noticed fluid level was low added antifreeze and heat returned somewhat but not at idle. Car has 36,200 miles, just off warranty. This is an obvious safety hazard since drivingin winter requires a functioning defroster. Local mechanic noted that check engine light for misfire of cylinder #1 indicated a head gasket leak which was where my coolant was disappearing. There are no signs of outward leaks, or a oder of coolant in the cabin from the heat core. It is now January, and I cannot drive the car due to lack of heat and risk of damage to the engine. Emailed my dealer, but as of yet no response.
Went to wash my 2017 Ford Edge car two weeks ago in my driveway and notice the panoramic roof glass had wavy cracks in it. No chips or leaks just a wavy crack that can be felt from the exterior. Reserched this issue and found it to be common in Edges from 2014 and up to the point that there was a class action lawsuit filed against Ford for not doing anything that was dropped in 2016. I don't know if it's a stress fracture or due to the heat. Ethier way I am concerned the glass is going to fail even more. There are accounts where these roofs have exploded while driving also.

Spider cracks in stationary part of panoramic sun roof. Took car to dealership who took photos and sent them to Ford. Ford replied saying it was stones that cracked it. My problem, they will not except that there is a problem with their design, putting a stress on the glass.
The windshield cracked from A-pillar to A-pillar possibly due to missing spot welds in that area. There are no stone chips visible in the window at all. The window cracks while driving.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. While driving approximately 65 mph in the rain, the windshield wipers were activated, but failed to function correctly. The vehicle was taken to ricart Ford (4255 S hamilton rd, groveport, oh 43125, (614) 836-6260), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000. Contact stated vehicle was taken to ricart Ford where the contact was informed that the dealership received an office memo about the Ford Edge windshield wipers would malfunction.
The front sunroof cracked from the front to the back of the glass. The vehicle was only six weeks old and had been driven only 2,900 miles. The dealer said that they have seen this happen a lot but that the $1,300 repair would not be covered under warranty. Ford Motor Company confirmed the next day that they would not cover this defect.
The sun visor on the passenger side fell out of the headliner on the mounting side the first time we put it down--it hung down about two inches. Today under rapid acceleration the other side came out of it's clip fastener and the whole unit fell down about ten inches in front of my wife face. It also appears that the drivers side visor had already been repaired as there are dirty smudges on the underside of the visor. There was also an Edge--2017--on the showroom floor that had the drivers side visor hanging down a couple of inches due to a faulty fastener.. we saw a total of three Edge's including the one we purchased and three of the six visors had the same issue. Ifs a drivers side visor came down the way our passenger side visor did today there is a very good chance of it creating an accident. I am finally having mine repaired tomorrow after waiting two weeks. I have spoken with two service departments who checked service bulletins and they said there had been no reported issues but obviously there is. Also spoke with Ford Motor Company customer service and got the same story. I have pictures but due to being incompetent with using a computer and iphone I cannot get the pictures to this document. If you send me an email I can attach the photos to a reply.
