This has happened to me at least three times. I have gone the the dealership and they can't find anything wrong with it. I was merging onto the interstate, hit the gas and my car did not accelerate. It would not go over about 35. The engine light came on (all the dash lights) got to the side of the road and turned the car off, sat for a minute and it started back up and worked fine.
The next time I was pulling out of my neighborhood. I was driving fine, pulled out onto the main road and my car would not accelerate. it would not go over 35. I just put my hazards on and went back home. had my husband follow me to the dealership and by the time I got there the lights were off and the car was driving fine.
This has happened several times now and each time, by the time I make it to the dealership the car is back to normal. they charged me to diagnose it and there was no code that came up.
I have had Ford products since I was 18 and this one has been such a headache. I have had spark plugs, some sort of belt replaced (at their suggestion to fix it) and the problem is still happening. I hate that every time I bring it up they can't find the issue and makes it seem like I am just complaining.
