Being a Ford only owner since 1967, having owned 13 Ford Pickups ranging from f-100 - f 350 and rangers and 10 Ford cars/suvs and having no major problems with them, I thought of myself as Fords #1 Fan. I didn't think that Ford would treat me the way they did. I expected some compensation help from Ford on an engine failure. Coolant was diagnosed as leaking into the cylinder # 3. The fix was a new long block as there was a crack discovered in the aluminum block at 108,526 miles. I called Ford and was basically told that it is my problem. I did have it fixed at my expense, but was not happy with Ford not acknowledging that there is a problem with this particular year model and engine, with the number of complaints they are getting. They gave me a case file number, and said that they would contact me if there was ever a recall issued. I asked for a supervisor and was told that there was no one that I could talk to higher than the case manager to whom I was speaking. End of conversation. Where do we go from here to get Ford to acknowledge the problem??? I'll look around hard and long before I buy another Ford.
