I know electrical issues can be difficult for a mechanic to track down, especially now that most rely on the car to throw a code to tell them what to do. First issue was May 2018 Adaptive steering warning, the second issue a 2019 collision alert, and third issue 2019 when the park assist goes. The last two did did not throw a code so my Edge has been in and out of the dealer for at least a week each time. Each time I've taken it in, we get a call that says they can't figure it out, then they do and replace something.
This has happened twice. Same issue but each time something else has to be replaced. Two different sensors with extensive wiring have been replaced one under standard warranty, the second time thank goodness we had the extended warranty because it would have cost over $6000 to fix. Fingers crossed this time. No more Fords for me.
