As a result, the trunk became damaged. The vehicle was taken to a body shop and the mechanic stated that the frame of the vehicle needed to be replaced. The dealer did not diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,750.
