CarComplaints.com Notes: There was plenty of hope that Ford would fix their “door ajar†warning light issue for the 2014 model year. This widespread problem has caused the previous 3 model years to stay on top of defect trend lists.
So far, the 2014 Edge doesn't share the poor reputation of prior model years.
Heater never has really worked. Not needed much in Texas so haven't taken it in. Now it's out of manufacturers warranty. When I get the heat to work it blows hot on driver side but ice cold on passenger side at the same time!!!!
One side of vehicle warm air coming out, the other is cold air. Heat not working properly. Seems a lot of other people have had this same complaint on here.
This morning I was taking my child to school and turned on the heater. It never heated, it would blow cold air. I told my husband who has a friend that works on vehicles and he put it on whatever kind of computer he has to tell you what the problem is. He said that my husband needed to take it to the Ford place that I bought it from because it's under warranty. He gets to ford place and tell them what is going on and what his friend says it is. The guy says it's something else and refuses to put it on their computer because he is sure that's what it is. Come to find out it's not what he thinks it is. He wants me to bring it up to the Ford place Monday and leave it with them until they get the problem fixed. Everyone that has ever taken their vehicle has been without a vehicle for 3 weeks.
