CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Edge has its fair share of problems, but chief among them is an annoying “door ajar†warning light that won’t shut off even when the door is most definitely closed. While the retina-burning, ever-present false reminder on your dashboard is bad, it points to a deeper problem that can drain the battery, leave the doors unlocked while in motion, or render the key fob useless.

Ford was under a class action lawsuit for this exact same issue for model years 2015-2018. Mine is a 2013. I have already had to replace the transmission once at 48,000 miles. At a cost of about 3200 dollars. Now at 93,000 miles I’m looking at having to do the same thing again on an “updated†6f35 transmission due to the exact same issues I had before. Ford should have to recall all 6f35 transmissions since they have all have horrible issues and cost people thousands and thousands of dollars. Ford has turned into a company that should have to have every single vehicle independently inspected upon being built. Their quality is that bad. And should be stripped of any quality and reliability rating they have ever received. I won’t buy another Ford ever again. Every make and model they produce is having some issue or another.
